Job Title: Building Control Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Building Control Inspector to join our team at Capita. As a Building Control Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that buildings are designed and constructed in compliance with relevant building regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards
  • Review and approve building plans and specifications
  • Issue certificates of compliance and other relevant documentation
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve any issues or concerns
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to building regulations and standards
Requirements:
  • Experience in building control inspection, general building surveying, design, project management, or other similar specialist services
  • Knowledge of current building control legislation, associated guidance, and issues relevant to the post
  • Ability to administer all forms and levels of building regulation applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of operating building control software systems
  • Ability to undertake all duties in accordance with the building control quality management system and building control performance standards policy adopted
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
