Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Building Control Inspector to join our team at Capita. As a Building Control Inspector, you will be responsible for delivering all aspects of building control functions, including pre-application meetings, plan checking, site inspections, and certification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver building control functions, including pre-application meetings, plan checking, site inspections, and certification
  • Work on a variety of projects across commercial and domestic sectors
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards
  • Administer all forms and levels of building regulation applications
  • Undertake duties in accordance with the building control quality management system and building control performance standards policy adopted
Requirements
  • Experience in building control inspection, general building surveying, design, project management, or other similar specialist services
  • Knowledge of current building control legislation, associated guidance, and issues relevant to the post
  • Ability to administer all forms and levels of building regulation applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of operating building control software systems
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
