The Role


Sheffield Forgemasters specialise in designing and manufacturing high integrity forgings and castings solutions for the world's most complex engineering challenges, offering a 'one-stop-shop' for steel production from a single site in the UK.


A range of global markets are served including Defence & Marine, Civil Nuclear, Steel Processing, Offshore Oil & Gas, Renewables, Power Generation, High Pressure Reactors, Steel Plant and Ingot & Bar.

The company also offers design, project management, steel melting, forging, casting, machining, testing and delivery. In addition, a number of specialist services are available onsite and through an extensive supplier network.


Some of the largest bespoke engineered steel products in the world are produced at the Brightside Lane facility with capacity for castings of up to 350 tonnes and forgings of up to 200 tonnes finished weight.


We are currently looking to hire a Talent Acquisition Specialist to be part of our HR team on a fixed term contract.


As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and interviewing prospective employees to find the perfect match for SF's long-term goals.

Whilst work closely with HR business partners to understand the company objectives and construct plans and talent management strategies to improve recruitment performance.


The main duties of the role are as follows:

  • Understand strategic hiring goals of the business to align campaigns focusing on SQEP roles
  • Conduct phone screens/interviews-
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the role and key attributes required
  • Assist hiring managers and HR with the onboarding process

Specific Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, or similar.
  • 23 years of experience as a talent acquisition specialist in a corporate environment
Previous experience in a talent management environment with evidence of:

  • Strategic planning around company goals
  • Talent recruitment and onboarding
  • Performance management
  • Learning management and engagement
  • Compensation management
  • Career and professional development
  • Succession planning and offboarding

Type of experience:

  • Experience of Applicant Tracking Systems, such as Oracle Taleo, iCIMS Recruit.

Days/Hours of Work:

You will work Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, 07:4- 16:00.
