The Role


A fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic
Maintenance Operative has arisen at the Baglioni Hotel London to join our Maintenance team on a full-time basis.

We are looking for a proactive individual who is dedicated to deliver a 5-star service.


Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Shift Engineer will be required to carry out basic repairs on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and audio visual plant and equipment throughout the hotel.


The main duties will include:

  • General maintenance, repairs and property conditioning;
  • Respond to reactive maintenance;
  • Painting and decorating;
  • Follow and adhere to Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules;
  • To correctly log all job requests, defects and works carried as per the department operations manual;
  • Deliver an excellent service to our guests;
  • Have previous experience as Maintenance Operative within hospitality or luxury environment.
  • Be trade qualified in plumbing or electrical (City and Guilds levels).
  • Demonstrate an excellent command of English language.
  • Be dedicated to the delivery of exceptional service and continuous improvement.
  • Be able to work alone and use initiative.
  • Have strong problem solving skills.
  • Be able to work comfortably and calmly under pressure.
