Northampton, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust Full time
Can you spare 4 hours a week?

Are you friendly, caring and a good listener? Are you able to approach people to offer help?

We are looking for volunteers Monday to Friday or pm.

Our volunteers are an invaluable part of the hospital team so come and join us and make a difference.

The role is reactive to the needs of the hospital and will involve working across various departments.

You will be advised daily as to what tasks you will be required to undertake but could involve running errands for departments, being a driver for the indoor buggy or the discharge car (full UK driving licence required and 3 years' experience) or taking the Brew Buddy out.

Volunteers cannot replace the role of a paid employee and this is not a work placement.

Volunteering at Northampton General Hospital is more than just an opportunity to 'give back', it is an environment to utilise your skills to help others based on your own experiences, form lifelong friendships with other volunteers and incorporate your wealth of knowledge and experience to shape a fantastic volunteer service.

We want everyone to gain satisfaction from their volunteering in an environment that is inclusive, supportive, stimulating, and friendly. Offering your support

What we look for in a volunteer is:

  • Caring and a good listener
  • Reliable and adaptable
  • Friendly and approachable
Northampton General Hospital is one of the largest employers in the area and we are on an exciting journey. All our divisions are committed to doing things better, with more efficiency as we update, modernise, and advance.

We have also entered a Group Model with neighbouring Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and become University Hospitals of Northamptonshire.
