  • The appointed Public Health Consultant will join the senior management team in public health, taking charge of overseeing this project and addressing inequalities in Wokingham.
  • The incumbent will play a vital role in realizing the Council's vision and actively contributing to the department's corporate and strategic objectives by collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Wokingham Public Health Service is also dedicated to supporting the local ICS and healthcare collaborators, which involves assisting the Director of Public Health in fulfilling responsibilities and cooperating with NHS partners on health and care initiatives.
  • This position will lead the Marmot program and delve into broader health determinants, necessitating close collaboration with neighboring public health units across Berkshire to enhance our community's health outcomes.
  • Although this role is on a fixed-term basis, current Wokingham Borough Council employees will undergo a secondment if selected, requiring approval from their line manager prior to application.
