National Account Manager / National Key Account Manager - Global FMCG Company - St Albans/Hybrid

Our client is one of the largest manufacturers of fast-moving consumer goods across the world. The brands are extremely well-known and recognisable through TV, radio and advertising.

As a company they have been established for over 100 years, turnover 20billion euros and employ over 50,000 people worldwide.

The role is working with one of their largest and most profitable brands in the company selling into their most well established sector, education.


Role:

You will be responsible for;

  • Drive & surpass channel net sales and profitability targets, in line with budget and strategic guidelines.
  • Produce annual strategic channel plan in alignment with the overall commercial strategy with clear objectives, goals, strategy and measures.
  • Lead & collaborate in the execution of ambitious trading plans with customers, including optimising ranges in Catalogues & Online
  • Conduct annual negotiations with customers to deliver the required profitable business growth and internal stretch plan.
  • Work closely with ?internal stakeholders incl. Marketing, Category Management, Business Planning & Supply Chain to provide marketleading solutions to our customers.
  • Demonstrable success in Key/National Account Management roles within FMCG.
  • A strategic thinker with strengths in analysis, planning and forecasting.
  • Proven track record in negotiations with key/national accounts.
  • Ideally experience B2B but not essential
  • Fully experienced in P&L management.
  • Ideally degree Educated, or equivalent.
  • Experience or exposure with brand marketing would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
  • Fully conversant with MS Office.
