Material / Purchasing AdministratorFull Time – PermanentWe are currently seeking a Material / Purchasing Administrator to join our expanding team. This is a full-time permanent role located in Carrington Manchester.This position focuses on material management, planning, and purchasing. The ideal candidate must establish connections with internal stakeholders and suppliers, possess a knack for numbers and systems to oversee and strategize stock movement, maintain min/max levels, and consider the impact of new orders on purchasing needs.ABOUT THE COMPANYMax Fame Paper Products Ltd is a division of Max Fame Group, a well-established high-end packaging manufacturing company with production sites in 3 countries. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute material planning & control activities efficiently.
  • Implement effective systems for material planning, purchasing, and stock control.
  • Maintain high standards of communication within the organization.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials for fulfilling sales orders and meeting high customer service levels.
  • Optimize planning schedules for production efficiency.
  • Regularly update the master inventory list.
  • Continuously enhance planning and stock control systems.
  • Assist in stock counts with a focus on accuracy.
  • Resolve issues promptly and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Analyze daily production output regarding raw material usage.
  • Provide up-to-date raw material control information.
  • Manage consumable stocks and replenish as necessary.
Purchasing Duties
  • Source materials and components based on quality, price, and delivery needs.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers.
  • Issue purchase orders and oversee the procurement process.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and nurture key relationships.
  • Resolve issues with orders, deliveries, or invoices.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Professional and driven demeanor with a customer-centric approach.
  • Openness to company-provided training modules.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in computer usage, ERP software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional data entry accuracy.
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
