*About the site*Normanton is home to our head office and is also the largest of our operational sites where we pack fresh fruit, salad and vegetables. Several of our Group support functions are headquartered in Normanton which include Commercial, IT, Finance, People Team and our Planning Teams.*About the role*We are recruiting for a Facilities Technician to join our team at our Normanton site, your main duties are listed as below;
- Minor Plumbing works
- Steel work and fabrication
- Basic Building works
- Minor Joinery works
- Lighting repairs and replacements (no electrical work unless qualified)
- Ceiling, wall and floor maintenance
- Barrier installation
- Utilities planned preventative maintenance
- Minor building works
- Various Engineering related audits
- Workshop and stores organisation
- Assisting engineering department
- Assisting projects department
- Generally improving all site appearance and amenities
- Carry out repairs to all office furniture and hardware
- Work in a clean, safe environment at all times. Monitor work area to ensure the workspace is safe and Colleagues are following safe working practices. Make clear recommendations to the appropriate Departmental Manager if improvements can be made.
- Responsible for the recording of parts used and notify Engineering Manager of any required
- Communicate clearly with other departments
- Strive to achieve 'World Class' standards at all times
- Ensure the best interests of the Company are always maintained
- Optimise the use of company resources whilst complying with company policies and procedures
- Previous proven industry experience in a maintenance/construction role
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude towards work
- Organised and able to prioritise
- Building and utilities maintenance in a working industry environment
- Basic IT skills/Knowledge (Desirable)
- A recognised qualification in maintenance/construction discipline (Desirable)
