This role focuses on the proactive and preventative upkeep of our manufacturing machinery, utilities, and ongoing improvement initiatives, alongside providing support for reactive maintenance as necessary.

Ideal Candidate Profile: The successful applicant will ideally possess an engineering apprenticeship or relevant qualifications, complemented by substantial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. A solid understanding of manufacturing processes in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment is essential.

Compensation: The annual salary is £50,469.12, which includes a basic rate, shift, and disturbance allowance, along with a monthly production bonus.

Work Schedule: The role operates on a 3-week rolling shift pattern, alternating between days and nights, with every Saturday off. Each three-week cycle consists of 11 working days followed by 10 days off.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in operating CNC machinery
  • Experience with edge polishers and extraction plants
  • Desirable knowledge of PUWER regulations
  • Familiarity with Siemens S7 PLC, Pilz Safety PLC, and general PLC systems
  • Strong fault-finding, root-cause analysis, and corrective action skills
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification is essential
