Job Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of a qualified nurse to provide high-quality care to children and young people on the CCN caseload.
  • Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of care.
  • Support emotional elements of the role and attend necessary debrief/reflections.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to the child and family's needs, respecting boundaries and individual beliefs.
  • Act on concerns related to child/young person's well-being, including safeguarding.
  • Participate in team meetings and ensure effective communication for the best interests of the child/young person and family.
  • Contribute to essential tasks such as ordering supplies, supporting out-of-hours services, and participating in research relevant to the role.

Person Specification:

Qualifications/Training

Essential

  • Completed first level education (CSE or GCSE grade A-C) or equivalent experience.
  • NVQ level 3 in Health/Social Care or evidence of relevant training/experience.

Desirable

  • Evidence of continued learning and development.
