Two exciting opportunities are available to join our team that supports children within the community setting in their own homes across Birmingham.
The post holder will work alongside nurses and the multi-disciplinary team to meet the individual needs of children and young people in their family homes.
We are seeking innovative HCA's who are confident, willing to go the extra mile, and demonstrate care, compassion, courage, and commitment in fulfilling their role.
Main duties of the job:
- Deliver care to children in various settings including home and school.
- Receive training in clinical skills such as gastrostomy feeding, suction, and oxygen therapy.
- Be flexible, a team player, and develop collaborative relationships with other healthcare professionals and agencies.

Job Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of a qualified nurse to provide high-quality care to children and young people on the CCN caseload.
- Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
- Maintain detailed documentation of care.
- Support emotional elements of the role and attend necessary debrief/reflections.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to the child and family's needs, respecting boundaries and individual beliefs.
- Act on concerns related to child/young person's well-being, including safeguarding.
- Participate in team meetings and ensure effective communication for the best interests of the child/young person and family.
- Contribute to essential tasks such as ordering supplies, supporting out-of-hours services, and participating in research relevant to the role.

Qualifications/Training

- Completed first level education (CSE or GCSE grade A-C) or equivalent experience.
- NVQ level 3 in Health/Social Care or evidence of relevant training/experience.
