Purpose of the Role & Team Profile

The Marketing Technology Lead for M&A Integrations plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration of marketing technology systems and processes during mergers and acquisitions (M&As). The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and project management skills. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing leaders, and data operations to drive successful integration efforts.

Key interactions

  • Collaborate with data operations, technology owners and business teams to assess and integrate marketing technology platforms into Informa's ecosystem.
  • Liaise with marketing teams to understand current state and ensure alignment with integration goals.
  • Engage with leadership to provide updates on integration progress and challenges.
  • Coordinate with colleagues, external vendors and consultants as needed for technical support and expertise.

Key Areas of Responsibility/Accountability

  • Technology Assessment: Work with relevant stakeholders to evaluate existing marketing technology stacks of acquired companies and identify synergies and gaps.
  • Integration Planning: Develop comprehensive integration plans for marketing technology systems, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Implementation Oversight: Lead the execution of integration plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Data Management: Support the management of data migration processes to ensure continuity and accuracy across systems.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to marketing teams on new systems and processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing optimisation and enhancement of marketing technology capabilities post-integration.

Key Outputs and Outcomes

  • Seamless integration of marketing technology systems across acquired entities, aligned with Informa's architectural decisions.
  • Minimal disruption to marketing operations and campaigns during integration.
  • Enhanced efficiency and effectiveness of marketing technology stacks post-integration.
  • Timely completion of integration milestones and deliverables.

Measures of Success

  • Integration Timelines: Meeting or exceeding established timelines for technology integration.
  • System Performance: Ensuring that integrated marketing technology systems meet performance benchmarks and user satisfaction metrics.
  • Data Accuracy: Assuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the integration process.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Positive feedback from key stakeholders on the effectiveness and efficiency of integration efforts.
  • Operational Efficiency: Demonstrated improvements in marketing operations and efficiency post-integration.
Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing technology implementation and integration, particularly in the context of M&A activities.
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology platforms such as CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving business outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices in marketing technology.
