We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Support Worker to join our friendly team. Are you committed to delivering high quality healthcare to patients in an urgent or primary care setting? Do you want to make a real difference to people's lives?

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of nursing care for patients as well as providing nursing assistance to the other members of the centre team.
  • Duties will include all tasks normally undertaken by a Healthcare Support Worker.
  • In conjunction with the Primary Care Quality manager ensure infection control standards are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Be responsible for the management of stock control and ordering whilst keeping within budget.
  • Contribute to Primary care centre locality meetings and update on best practice.
  • Fully engage in local nurse meetings and shared learning and mentoring.

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 2/3 or Care Certificate essential.
  • Ability to handle patients (both on the telephone and in person) who may be angry or distressed.
  • Ability to perform blood glucose monitoring, blood Pressure checks, pulse and temperature checks, urinalysis, ECG, venepuncture, carry out basic wound care.
  • Previous Healthcare experience.
