Job description: What will you be doing?
This position will be joining a team of dedicated trade effectiveness and analytics consultants.The teams core objective is to generate growth for retailers and manufacturers by making recommendations on ranging and revenue management strategies. This is achieved via insightful analysis of econometric models and other analytic solutions based on EPOS and retailer loyalty card data.
You will work as part of a dedicated team of consultants and be responsible for scoping, project management, analysis/execution, and account management for your clients. And as a senior consultant you will have line management and/or mentoring responsibilities for 1-2 consultants in the team. The core focus of this role is on Revenue Growth Management solutions (Price, Promotions and Range)
Job Responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for ad hoc and contracted client price, promotions and assortment projects ensuring quality delivery by self and offshore modelling team
- To be responsible for scoping, managing, and implementing analyses to address clients business issues.
- Review and provide feedback on both modelling inputs and outputs, to ensure results make logical business sense and are statistically robust.
- Continue the strong collaborative working relationship with the offshore modelling team.
- Prepare and deliver insightful, high value client presentations.
- Provide training on Circanas bespoke simulation software solutions and support clients in maximising value from this.
- Capable of becoming a subject matter expert in relation to the Circana RGM solutions and their ability to answer clients business issues.
- Mentor and/or line manage 1-2 junior consultants in the team
- Ability to drive senior level engagement and be happy presenting to top level management at your clients
- Being seen as knowledgeable of CPG/FMCG, retail and analytics sector on Price, Promotions and assortment
This position can be located in the following area(s): Within travelling distance from Bracknell
Required profile: Requirements
- Solid, relevant market research and FMCG industry experience
- Previous experience within an agency specializing in analytics is highly desirable for this role.
- Experience and expertise in functional area of assortment (range/space optimisation.) and/or Price and Promotions.
- Strong analytical skills, enquiring, insightful and strategic thinking abilities
- A proven track record of interpreting data, developing meaningful insights, and providing value added recommendations with excellent communication/ presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management and organisational skills with a willingness to take accountability of the full project life cycle.
- High understanding of FMCG industry and trends
- Applicants do not need to have a statistical background to apply, but must have strong analytical skills with an aptitude for accurately managing and interpreting data and proficient in MS Office
