Leading a team of over 80 staff, you'll bring extensive experience gained either in an NHS or a relevant industrial background.

A responsibility will be ensuring that our Clinical Engineering services rank amongst the best in the country and for creating new opportunities for innovation for patient benefit.

You'll deliver excellent, strategic and operational leadership, and ideally with a combined experience of complex asset management and medical device development and demonstrate an ability to build and work within successful teams.

Our specialised medical equipment maintenance and management function is supported by a staff group of 70+, with a budget of £8.It includes equipment ranging from basic monitoring to highly complex imaging and therapy equipment, with a value in excess of £100M; you will be responsible for the strategic planning of this service at organisational level.

Our medical device innovation (MDI) workshops house complex electronic and mechanical equipment and services include innovative design and build, engineering and regulatory consultancy.

We operate externally-audited Quality Management Systems, and as a leading centre, have a role in training the next generation of engineers.
