Job Description

Are you a skilled and experienced professional seeking a challenging role in the field of heavy equipment maintenance?

Human Engineering, a leading provider of engineering solutions, is seeking a talented and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in servicing and maintaining heavy equipment such as mobile cranes, crawler cranes, excavators, rollers, dumpers or piling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in various construction and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
  • Conduct thorough examinations of components to identify potential defects or deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to schedule and execute service activities, minimizing downtime and maximizing uptime.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers and onsite personnel, ensuring proper operation and maintenance practices.
  • Accurately record service activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment documentation.
Requirements:
  • Hold a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering discipline.
  • Have experience working with heavy equipment in a field service capacity.
  • Have knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems on heavy equipment.
  • Hold certifications or tickets related to site machinery maintenance (e.g., CPCS, NPORS, IPAF).
  • Possess diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and team members effectively.
  • Hold a driver's license and be willing to travel to customer sites as required.
