We are actively seeking an
Interim Financial Controller to join us at our Head Office

This is a 9 Month FTC.

Salary:
Competitive Salary + 25% bonus on completion of FTC and Car Allowance.

About You:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with 2+ years post qualification experience and evidence of continuous professional development
  • Working knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and US GAAP to UK GAAP conversions
  • High quality written, presentational, and interpersonal skills
  • Competent use of Microsoft packages with strong aptitude in Microsoft Excel
  • Embraces change and is open to the ideas and opinions of others, as well as sharing their own
  • Systems integration experience in previous roles is essential
  • Strong leadership skills to maintain a culture of continuous improvement in the Finance team
  • People management experience is not essential, but must be able to demonstrate ability to manage and lead a team
  • Strong analytical skills, and ability to present financial information to others from nonfinancial backgrounds
  • Previous experience in a similar role, working for a multisite organization is essential
  • Passion for providing the best customer service both internal and external to the business
  • Prepared to do limited travelling when required
  • Strong academic record, educated to degree level desirable.
  • Previous experience of SAP is desirable

About the Role:

  • Management of the core Finance team consisting of Senior Accountant and Finance Business Partners including performance appraisals, development, and succession
  • Ensure the delivery of high quality annual financial statements, prepared in accordance with relevant accounting standards, working with the Finance Director and external advisors
  • Preparation of annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts working closely with the Finance Team, Regional Directors and Branch Managers
  • Monthly management accounts review, working closely with the Finance Team to provide commentary on financial performance vs budget and forecast, and Balance Sheet movements.
  • Maintain 'best in class' 2 day P&L reporting financial close sharing best practice with the wider Finance Group
  • Assist in business processes and systems transition as a result of the acquisition of Mobile Mini UK Ltd by Algeco Holdings Ltd
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reporting schedules as requested by Group
  • Ensure that effective financial systems, processes and procedures are maintained and ensure compliance with ISO standards and Sarbanes-Oxley regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure audits run smoothly and are completed within agreed timeframes
  • Preparation of information to support UK corporate tax returns and annual business insurance renewal, working with the Finance Director and external advisors
  • Assist in the training of branch and other key staff on financial information
  • Ensure a professional and consistent level of customer service is delivered to both internal and external customers
