Owing to our continued success we are looking for a Warehouse and Fleet Manager at our Stevenage Operation, to support the Depot management team.
WAREHOUSE AND FLEET MANAGER - STEVENAGE

HOURS:
45 HOURS per week - MONDAY - FRIDAY - 8.30PM - Flexibility required owing to the needs of the business which may be of a medical nature.
Polar Speed has a reputation for quality, compliance, operational and customer facing technology and monitoring solutions in the growing temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical logistics market in the UK.
The company specializes in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers and medical care surgeries as well as to end patients which it serves through its homecare business.
Its customers include some of the best known pharmaceutical brands in the world.
Its exciting times at Polar Speed and due to some internal development with our team we are now looking for a Warehouse and Fleet Manager at our Stevenage depot.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods in a correct and timely manner with attention to detail.
- Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, ensuring budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met.
- Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
- Respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone.
- Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate.
Organize the recruitment and training of employees, as well as monitoring their performance and progress.
Maintain and oversee company supply chain policies and procedures, with a good understanding of ISO requirements and ensuring employees adhere.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems and automated storage and retrieval systems.
- Work alongside fleet and distribution manager to cover holidays, absences, and workload that needs attention.
- Control driver training and maintain records.
- Ensure cleaning/decon areas are clean and procedures are followed, oversee all shift patterns.
Chair or support investigations, reviews, conduct, performance, disciplinary, and grievance meetings when necessary.
- Previous warehouse, manager, and supply chain experience essential.
- High standard of computer literacy, including Excel, Word, SAP, WMS systems.
- Must be a team player as well as a decision-maker working in both the office and the warehouse.
