Employer Engagement Officer

Liverpool Hope University are seeking to appoint an Employer Engagement Officer who will directly support the University's Strategy for Enhancing Student Employability. The post holder will report to the Head of Student Development & Employability. The Employer Engagement Officer will build relationships with employers, Alumni, and voluntary sector partners to create and promote employment, placement year and volunteer opportunities for our students and graduates. Working with the team to plan and co-ordinate employment enhancement activities both within curriculum subjects and for the Student Futures general events calendar. Another focus of the role will be to work with employers and students throughout the placement year process, ensuring due diligence and providing specialist advice helping students through competitive selection processes and to develop essential skills whilst on placement.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of working with employers, with up-to-date knowledge of the Higher Education sector and a knowledge of the Merseyside and UK graduate job markets. Experience of delivering employment-related presentations and work placement programmes within subject areas would also be an advantage.

This is a permanent appointment subject to 12 months probationary period.
