Job Summary
The Regeneration Engagement Officer will play a critical role in leading the delivery of stakeholder engagement strategies, consultation plans, and accompanying communication strategies for our Regeneration Programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual to make a real difference in our communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement strategies to ensure all stakeholders, particularly residents, are fully informed and involved in key programme stages.
- Empower and support communities to have an active role in designing and delivering regeneration initiatives.
- Project Delivery
- Lead on the delivery of projects and interventions within the Regeneration Programmes, including the Social Value Strategy and Community Chest Fund.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Regularly liaise with key external and internal partners to ensure alignment with local issues, challenges, and opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with communications to ensure engagement strategies and communications plans are aligned with clear outcomes and timescales.
- Reporting and Analysis
- Produce updates and reports on stakeholder engagement in the community for presentation at programme meetings.
- Event Planning and Management
- Plan, coordinate, and undertake various engagement events in the community, including weekly drop-in sessions on site.
- Consultation and Support
- Support residents to ensure successful decants are achieved.
- Undertake housing needs assessments for individual residents to effectively support them.
- Risk Management and Compliance
- Undertake risk assessments for engagement events as required.
- Ensure all data protection and health & safety requirements are met in accordance with Riverside's policy, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Person Specification
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, such as housing, regeneration, or development.
- Experience of communicating with a range of stakeholders from residents to senior managers in a confident, professional, and positive manner.
- Ability to successfully manage challenging engagement situations.
- Experience of leading on and delivering stakeholder engagement strategies and accompanying action plans.
- Experience of supporting the successful delivery of projects.
- Ability to manage and coordinate internal and external events, such as stakeholder engagement, consultation, and surveys.
- Ability to deliver engagement events, including presenting to stakeholders and facilitating workshop sessions.
- Ability to manage a range of stakeholder expectations.
- Demonstrate skills of managing information and communication with others effectively.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve programme priorities.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond to fluctuations in workload.
- Ability to work outside normal hours as the programme engagement strategy requires.
- Full driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience of working within a social housing or public sector environment.
- Experience of stakeholder mapping.
