The client are looking for an ambitious and innovative individual to provide support to the commercial team, engineers and key accounts with any commercial administration.

You must have a good level of maths ideally to A-level standard or above to be considered for the role and advanced excel experience.


Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Administrator:

  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and sales teams to understand project requirements and scope
  • Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to determine materials, labor, and equipment needed
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for precision engineering projects, considering factors such as materials, labor, overhead, and other relevant expenses
  • Research and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services
  • Assist in the development of pricing strategies that align with market trends and company goals
  • Maintain a database of cost estimates, supplier information, and projectrelated documentation
  • Participate in internal project review meetings to discuss estimations and contribute insights
  • Continuously learn and stay uptodate with precision engineering techniques and industry trends

Key Requirements for the Commercial Administrator:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or a related field ideal
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret technical documentation
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints
  • Familiarity with precision engineering concepts and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheet software and other relevant tools for estimation
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
