Job Summary
This role is a key position within the European Corporate Accounting team, which has responsibility for managing the financial and regulatory reporting requirements of all entities within the Barings Europe group.
The position requires an individual with strong technical and analytical abilities who can efficiently process and review information, as well as good interpersonal skills to support their interactions with their colleagues throughout the business. The position will reside in our London office.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
Preparation of month end accounting journalsReviewing monthly P&Ls and investigating variancesCompletion of monthly balance sheet reconciliationsPreparation of statutory accountsProvision of support during the annual audit processPreparation of monthly and quarterly regulatory returnsAssistance in preparation of annual ICARA documentationChecking and authorizing pay-runsOverseeing work of third-party accountants producing accounts for European entitiesSupporting the European consolidation processQualifications
Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with at least 2+ years of post-qualification experienceExperience in the financial services industry preferred.Excellent analytical skills.Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong excel skills.Use of Workday Financials would be an advantage but not required#LI-JB1
