About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and varied role that covers all corporate reporting for Talbot. As a Corporate Accountant, you will have the chance to get involved in all aspects of the reporting cycle, from ensuring complete and accurate financial reporting to producing committee and board packs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate corporate reporting, including Talbot consolidation and Group reporting to AIG, corporate entity reporting, UK and overseas statutory reporting, and regulatory reporting to Lloyd's and other regulators.
  • Produce committee and board packs, ensuring efficient and effective accounting processes and controls.
  • Intercompany reconciliations for service level agreements, balance sheet substantiation, and support for interim and year-end SOX requirements.
  • Ensure complete, accurate, and timely broker financial reviews, and maintain documentation for key processes and controls.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in new financial reporting standards and disclosures, and produce associated accounting judgment papers.
  • Support complete, accurate, and timely tax submissions, including corporate tax returns for UK and overseas, Lloyd's related submissions, Singapore GST, tax certificates, and SAO documentation.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • A qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years of PQE experience.
  • Experience working in a similar role within the insurance industry.
  • Good knowledge of UK GAAP and US GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Good knowledge of general ledger systems (e.g., SAP/Sun).
  • Good knowledge of financial processes and controls.
  • Tax knowledge is desirable.
