About the role:

In this role, you will define, implement and embed the core principles of IT Demand Management & Capacity Planning within a global portfolio. Reporting into the IT Solutions Director, you will develop a demand management and capacity planning framework underpinned by robust processes, procedures and effective reporting suite, while also creating and managing the IT roadmap for change.

Responsibilities:

  • Define a single process for stakeholders and customers to engage the Demand planning Practice for Technology resource requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders of varying levels including Executive Board members, and Business Unit Directors.
  • Ensure an effective demand management and capacity planning communications plan is developed and maintained.
  • Ensure IT Demand Management, Capacity Planning team and Enterprise PMO team(s) work collaboratively and identify potential conflicts.
  • Take ownership of demand management and resource management tooling within the IT portfolio and assess for effectiveness ensuring they are fit for purpose.
  • Implement quality control frameworks and guidelines to ensure consistent and quality artifacts and outcomes for the Demand Planning process.
  • Design and implement a prioritization methodology, in line with EPMO in order to prioritise incoming demand.
  • Define and implement effective resource management and utilization processes, reporting and insights.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience operating at a senior level within a PMO Demand & Planning role.
  • Strong line management experience.
  • High level of experiencing developing, implementing and maintaining processes relating to PMO Demand & Capacity.
  • Broad understanding of the IT landscape and how roles interact within IT projects and portfolios.
  • Proven experience working effectively with stakeholders up to Executive Board level.
  • Strong verbal & written communications skills, being able to relay technical messaging to non-technical audiences.
