  • What will this role achieve?
  • The Head of Corporate Communications UK&I is responsible for the development of strategy and execution of all internal leadership and change management communications across the region, working closely with the UK&I Regional MD in industry forums with a view to building and protecting pladis' reputation with key audiences.
  • The role is also responsible for UK press office management developing proactive and reactive messaging requirements. The role holder will work closely with the global Corporate Affairs & Communications team representing the regional agenda and working in collaborative partnership on the broader agenda.
  • The role would suit a tenacious, detailorientated people's person with a passion for storytelling, comfort to lead through ambiguity and agility to navigate a large, matrixed business.

  • Reporting into the Chief Corporate Affairs and Communications Officer, pladis Global and dotted line to Managing Director, UK&I
  • What will be your key deliverables?
  • Build, develop and deliver an integrated corporate communications plan for the UK&I, with ultimate responsibility of enhancing and protecting the reputation of the business with internal and external audiences.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to build and develop the existing UK&I corporate narrative, key messaging and communication themes, and act as corporate brand guardian.
  • Responsible for leading the UK&I internal news agenda, building specific communication strategies, programmes and content, as required.
  • Responsible for UK Leadership communications including partnering with the MD,
  • Leading on communications for all UK&I change management projects.
  • Partnering with HR to manage of key internal communication channels and platforms including digital screens, Workplace, UK&I briefings and MD events; and responsible for ensuring content is relevant, easy to engage with and distinctive.
  • Create and implement the content calendar working closely with Global Corporate Affairs and Communications (CA&C) team, including planning, scheduling, copywriting and coordinating cross functionally
  • Drive and manage proactive external communications including identifying media, engagement and thought leadership opportunities for senior leaders in the business
  • Working in Partnership with both the Global CA&C team to manage key Industry body relationships to enhance the pladis brand across these forums.
  • Manage the UK&I press office, handling press and media enquiries and cascading relevant press enquiries to the brand teams and / or other regions
  • Proactively manage brand reputational risk and opportunity by identifying critical themes across the business on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead all crisis communications and provide expert comms and reputation counsel to senior partners in the UK&I.
  • Partner with brand marketing teams to safeguard and enable their brandbuilding activities across channels.
  • Manage external agency relationships including and public affairs.
  • Continual measurement of the effectiveness of communications channels building reports to share results back to the business, offering insight and findings and working to improve platform reach and engagement.
