The Role & Team

  • We are looking for a fulltime Social Work qualified Independent Reviewing Officer to join our children in care team. We are a group of Child Protection Chairs, Independent Reviewing Officers and a Designated Local Authority Officer working in the Children Safeguarding and Reviewing Service in North East Lincolnshire.

Your Responsibilities

  • Our caseloads are stable and manageable in line with national recommendations and we receive regular supervision and support across the stable team we have in place.
  • Our service has introduced new frameworks, standards and a set of expectations to improve how we deliver services to children and with the good foundations in place, we are now embarking on the next stage of our journey to make greater impact on children's outcomes in achieving placement stability, good education and health and receiving the right support.
  • To achieve this, we need an additional member to join us on our journey.
  • Previous experience as an Independent Reviewing Officer or a Team Manager/ Assistant Team Manager level
  • Demonstrable commitment to improving outcomes for children
  • Experience of producing accurate, concise, and timely reports for Senior Managers and other organizations, both quantitative and qualitative, verbally and in writing.
  • Experience of supporting service development.
  • Experience of developing and delivering multiagency training materials on safeguarding / child protection.
