What is the Role

As a Senior Data Architect, you'll be responsible for designing, creating, and managing Transmission IT's data architecture.

Reporting to the Lead Data Architect, this role is critical in establishing a solid foundation for data analytics and data management, ensuring that data is organised, accessible, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

Responsible for data domain architecture to support business issues, events and activities, and understand their wider implications and long-term impact. Design, create and manage the comprehensive data architecture to support data analytics and management.

Project data design, ensuring that the detailed designs and solutions delivered align to the solution data architecture, managing and resolving any design issues as they arise. Work closely with applications/integration team to ensure integrations adhere to standards and are appropriately documented.

Design the structure and layout of data systems and platforms, while also assessing the impact of business change requests on the existing data architecture and support the prioritisation of these changes.

Translate high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data, and data quality standards.

Collaborate with various departments to facilitate data-driven decision-making and optimize the organization's data ecosystem.

What do I Need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

Proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services (Azure preferred), across an organisation.

Strong capability to manage and set standards for data exchange within large-scale environments.

The ability to analyse and interpret strategic plans, improving data integration and quality supporting business initiatives.

Ability to think strategically and relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs and client culture, synthesising and clearly communicating large volumes of complex information to a wide range of roles and understanding levels.
