Internal Sales Coordinator at ABC Company

We have teamed up with a highly reputable, major European organization in search of an Internal Sales Coordinator to join their team based in Warwick. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an exceptional company alongside an amazing team.

As an Internal Sales Coordinator, your role will involve project coordination across different departments, engaging with internal/external project stakeholders, and driving new business for company products across various sectors. Additionally, you will provide valuable support to the sales team by establishing the company with decision makers and influencers throughout the design, procurement, and execution process.

Working closely with contractors, M&E sub-contractors, pre-fabrication partners, and merchant customers, you will act as a primary contact point leading the coordination of complex projects. Your responsibilities will include issuing project quotations, managing project estimates, and maintaining a low-level account management strategy to secure new product opportunities and relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Internal Sales

  • Forge relationships with current and potential contractors to position company products as the top choice across all projects.
  • Collaborate with merchant customer estimating offices to handle sales inquiries and facilitate order conversions.
  • Maintain the Company CRM system in accordance with company standards.
  • Translate specified projects while working with internal teams to meet set targets.
  • Create annual sales plans to identify growth opportunities and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Manage account activity, stay in contact with clients, and follow up on project quotations generated.

Project Support

  • Take full responsibility for coordinating necessary projects, focusing on utilizing industry media and group systems for research.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to boost conversion rates and retain clients.
  • Ensure all project criteria are met, maintain clear communication, and update information in the CRM system.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of project progress and challenges as needed.
  • Coordinate product deliveries with on-site contractors and relevant third-party stakeholders.
  • Provide KAMs with insights on secured account projects.

Pricing Support (as needed)

  • Respond promptly to pricing inquiries and collaborate with the Sales team to maintain customer pricing strategy.
  • Qualify opportunities to ensure they align with requirements.
  • Update and send quotations to customers, ensuring accurate information.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure accuracy on all produced quotations.
  • Escalate any issues to the Team Leader or Department Manager when necessary.
  • Support the contract extension/expiry process by updating relevant quotations and communicating with customers.

CRM

  • Fully utilize the company CRM system to record and track project details accurately.
  • Maintain data integrity, update tasks and actions, and keep project information current.

KEY SKILLS

  • GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above, or relevant experience.
  • Construction industry knowledge, preferably within manufacturing/merchant.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as MS Dynamics or Salesforce.
  • Managing key accounts, liaising with contractors, developers, and builders' merchants.
  • Previous account management experience in a fast-paced commercial setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability in relationship building with a strategic and forward-thinking approach.
  • Excellent planning, implementation, and internal sales skills.
  • Self-motivated, credible within a technical environment, and capable of influencing at a senior level.
  • Strong communication skills, adaptable, and customer-focused.
  • Assertive while maintaining positive relationships and providing excellent customer support.
