The Role:

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting young people in their transition to independent living

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing emotional support and mentorship to young people as they navigate the challenges of leaving care.
  • Assisting in the development of life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and job seeking.
  • Offering guidance on educational and vocational opportunities.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the wellbeing and progress of the young people.

Key qualifications:

  • A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An NVQ 3 or NVQ 4 qualification relating to children or young people.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A willingness to adapt to the unique needs of each individual in your care.
