HR & Payroll Administrator - John Clark Motor Group Head Office

A vacancy for a passionate HR & Payroll Administrator to join their busy HR team based at the Holding company in Aberdeen.


The right person for this role will want a career in HR and will most likely have already experience within a similar role.

They will be quick and eager to learn, resilient to working in an automotive environment as well as

  • Responding to all general HR questions & queries via our helpdesk and within SLA
  • Ensure all HR records remain confidential and are accurately maintained
  • Responsibility of entering all new joiners, transfers and leavers on to the payroll system in line with applicable deadlines
  • Production of supporting paperwork for transfers, changes, and leavers
  • Gaining approval for internal moves/salary changes
  • Ownership of parental leave processes (maternity, paternity, adoption)
  • Responsibilities for uniform process for new joiners, transfers and leavers
  • Responsibility for reminding, tracking and producing probation paperwork in line with applicable timelines
  • Retrieve personnel information and copy or scan documents as per requirements
  • Support HR and recruitment as and when required e.g. minute taking at meetings (investigations & disciplinaries), ensuring absence procedures are supported, shortlisting CVs, producing contracts
  • Internal communication support
  • Project support as required

Personal Attributes as HR Administrator:

  • Experience as an HR/Payroll Administrator or relevant human resources/administrative position
  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of employment legislation
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Outwardly enthusiastic and selfmotivated
