GRS Footwear is an award-winning multi-channel distributor of footwear based in Cramlington, Northumberland.

We supply over 1,000 UK retail outlets from high street names, right through to small independent retailers with our varied footwear ranges.

We also run several B2B & B2C websites for our brands, Lunar, Grisport, Goodyear, Lazy Dogz & Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.


We are looking for a pro-active, bright & ambitious, sales-driven E-commerce & Social Media Assistant, with a clear attention to detail, to help grow our online sales and ensure that our products are represented well online.


Much of the daily workload involves working with different excel spreadsheets and databases, so a good knowledge of this program is essential.

Previous experience in fashion or footwear Ecommerce or retailing is essential.

ROLE OVERVIEW


You will assist in the look and feel of our sites and be involved in getting all of our seasonal products online quickly to maximise sales and ensure that the same products are listed properly on third-party sites such as Amazon, eBay and others.


You will also be involved in helping our Ecommerce Management team work with our drop-shipping partners to ensure that our product databases are constantly up to date and you will be required to send relevant product information to our retail partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that new products are listed online as quickly and efficiently as possible. Creating product descriptions and linking images and upselling items.
  • Analysing reports to understand good and poor performance.
  • Making sure our complete inventory is listed on Amazon, eBay & others, conducting regular reviews.
  • Site walks to raise any potential issues broken links, incorrect product descriptions, placement, imagery & general housekeeping on the sites.
  • Homepage checks to ensure the content is relevant to the season and suggesting changes.
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting issues to Management
  • Working with our PPC & SEO specialists to ensure optimum site performance.
Additional Responsibilities

  • Monitoring competitor activity & suggesting ways to improve conversion rates.
  • Suggesting suitable products for special offers, price changes, and seasonal promotions
  • Creation of upsell and crosssell rules and choosing relevant products
  • Basic Google analytic reports and sales trends by brand
  • Help with social media postings for our brands, including creating photography & content.

Skills & Knowledge Needed

  • Previous involvement in eCommerce, merchandising & an ability to use Excel
  • Strong analytical skills & a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication & language skills & ability to sell a product with interesting content.
  • Understanding a fashionbased business would be an advantage
  • Understanding and experience of Amazon & eBay retailing
  • Skills & an interest in Digital photography would be an advantage
  • Ability to understand the customer base for significantly different products.
  • An Interest in fashion or the outdoors would be a benefit.
