North Norfolk Foodbank Administrator

Reports to:
North Norfolk Foodbank Manager


Hours:
Part time 25 hours per week including a 30 minute break each day for lunch.

Although the majority of the work would be 4 days a week, 8.45am - 3.00pm, there may be a requirement for some evening / weekend work to fulfil the role.

Hours will be flexible to accommodate this within an average working week.

Place of work:
Primarily the Foodbank office at Cromer Methodist Church with occasional visits to distribution centres.

JOB PURPOSE:


Maintain and progressthe administration of North Norfolk Foodbank, including the operational efficiency and standards, in accordance with The Trussell Trust franchise model, and the strategy of North Norfolk Foodbank.

In partnership with the Trustees and Foodbank Manager, guide the development of the Foodbank, including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships, and volunteer body.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Day to Day Administration:

  • Support and understand day to day procedures and cover for the Foodbank Manager as required
  • Provide clerical duties in support of the Foodbank
  • Support Foodbank Manager with reception of dropin visitors
  • Support and understand the work of the Energybank team

Charity Administration:

  • Administering training, governance, volunteer and agency records
  • Administering new volunteer procedures
  • Administering and updating office procedures
  • Oversee computer and hard copy filing system
  • Maintain data protection regulation compliance
  • Maintain risk assessments across all areas
  • Maintain policies, practices and procedures

Project Administration:

  • Support and promote the development of new and existing projects within the charity that help to deliver the strategy of the Foodbank
  • Support Foodbank Manager with volunteers management, including training
  • Oversee thank you mail outs to all donors of food and money

Communication:

  • Manage internal and external communications
  • Maintain working relationship with Trussell Trust
  • Keep trustees informed of developments and implement actions as required
  • Manage production of regular newsletters
  • Support with social media accounts


Together with any other reasonable duties as specified by the Chairman of Trustees to support the work of the charity.


PERSON PROFILE:

Requirements:

Effective team-working with good interpersonal skills

Ability to plan, organise and support the development of the Foodbank

Experience of working or volunteering in an organisation that deploys volunteers

Current UK driving licence

Key Skills:

Ability to work independently and to deadlines

Numerate and comfortable interpreting statistical data

Excellent written and oral communication and organisational skills

Salary:
£16,333 p.a. Eligible for standard auto enrolment in the NEST pension scheme

Annual Leave: 23 days per year, inclusive of 8 bank and public holidays
