We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Induction and Commissioning Specialist to join our team. As an Induction and Commissioning Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful onboarding and commissioning of new developments, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and service excellence.

Primary Job Purpose:


Accountable to the Head of Operational Excellence for providing customer facing teams with the know-how, capability, and confidence to best perform their roles in terms of how to do their work in a high quality and standardised way, and how to organise resources.

Including the effective coordination of the commissioning of new developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice on how to resource and cover services.
  • Work with Operations and local Managers to drive the following to positively influence retention rates and achievement of objectives:
  • effective workforce planning
- vacancy identification
- rota management
- recruitment
- managing staff hours within service charge budgets

  • Coordinate and monitor to conclusion the thorough induction of new colleagues in existing and new developments and of colleagues changing roles.
  • Coordinate and input in all parts of the handover process for the relevant Operations Manager
  • Attend DTMs as directed and support with customer journey related events and feedback to the relevant Operations Managers
  • Working from a standard template deliver an engaging presentation about the new development and the offering of additional services at Discovery days etc.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Manager the ordering of provision of resources for running the development and for customer use.
  • Supporting to build a community ahead of opening, guiding the House or Estates Manager with a plan on events and clubs for example and how best to use the budget in this respect.
  • Oversee customer occupation, supporting the House & Estate Manager to deliver homeowner induction and including their responsibility around NHBC requirements.

Person Secification:

Knowledge & Experience

  • Good computer skills
  • Good administrative and organisational skills are essential in this role and experience in using computerised databases are desirable.
  • Operational experience in a services, customer centric organisation, ideally including scheduling work and rostering.
  • Coaching

Skills & Competencies

  • Able to work on his/her own initiative and organise the daily workload in line with priority.
  • Ideally previous resource planning, administration and coordination experience preferably gained in a similar environment.
  • Sound Microsoft Office and database administration skills
  • Effective stakeholder management
