and main responsibilities Patient-Centred Care: Provide a patient-focused and clinically competent pharmacy service to inpatient medical wards. This involves working directly with patients and contributing to their care. Team Development: Work with and develop rotational pharmacists, technicians, and trainees within the medical directorate, including supporting their professional and clinical skills. Clinical Guidance and Practice: Contribute to the development of clinical guidance and ensure that pharmacy practices align with national guidelines. Implement cost-saving measures, develop and review patient group directions (PGDs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) where necessary. Integration and Collaboration: Integrate secondary care services within the broader NHS Dorset Healthcare system.
