Role Overview- Responsible for the development of the Group Treasury strategy, ensuring that the strategy and associated processes are clearly documented and approved- To ensure that the Group has adequate financial resources to achieve the business strategy and that funding is secured on a cost effective basis.- Manage all financial risk exposures for the Group, including foreign exchange, interest rate, credit risk and liquidity risk.
Design, implement and manage suitable hedging strategies.- Manage the day to day treasury activities performed by the Group Treasury Analyst.- To provide a short to medium range cashflow forecast to monitor borrowing headroom against committed facilities and to ensure compliance with our Financial Covenants.
Key ResponsibilitiesFunding and Capital Markets:
- To provide the group with access to a number of different sources of financing, within the context of the Group's credit profile.
- To ensure that the Group has access to an appropriate level of debt finance to enable it to meet its current and expected future needs.
- To manage the debt maturity profile, to arrange funding ahead of requirements and to maintain sufficient undrawn committed bank facilities
- To coordinate the efficient funding for all the Group Businesses via notional pooling arrangements, intercompany loans and intercompany dividends when appropriate.
- Manage external relationships with bankers and US based institutional debt investors.
Risk Management:
- Develop and manage the Group's foreign exchange and interest rate hedging strategies, maintaining communication with banks to minimise risk and achieve a cost effective service.
- Manages hedging deals on behalf of the Group to ensure best prices are obtained on foreign exchange transactions, using the 360T trading platform.
- Monitors the Group's other financial risks, recommending action where appropriate.
- Agrees appropriate hedging levels for all Group businesses.
Other:
- Ensure that all the Treasury Policies and Controls are regularly updated and are appropriate to the needs of the business. Liaise directly with external auditors on all treasury related matters.
- Key ownership of the short to medium range cashflow forecast, involving liaison with Stakeholders within the wider Finance team to ensure that all the latest financial deals, including Art Loans are correctly recorded.
- Responsible for the monthly Treasury Report provided to the Group Financial Controller. Responsible for Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting "Treasury Costs", including Interest and related costs, together with Credit Card charges and Foreign Exchange.
- Monitor Bank covenants to ensure they are not breached, recommending actions to mitigate risk of breach
- Provide Audit, Financial and Risk Management (AFRM) and Board papers as required.
- Regular liaison with Legal and Compliance to ensure our lenders are appraised of our KYC and AML policies. Ensure all legal documentation, both internal notional pooling and intercompany loans are regularly updated and external
- Bank guarantees, ISDA's, Letters of Credit are maintained accordingly.
- Regular liaison with other Senior Finance leaders to consider corporate structure, dividend strategy, internal funding requirements and any pending changes in Tax, Treasury and Financial reporting requirements to ensure that the Group is keeping up to date on new rules as appropriate.
Experience:
- Educated to degree level with Accountancy and Treasury qualification (ACA or equivalent/ACT /MCT)
- Experience in managing a treasury function in an international environment, raising external funding in private and bank markets.
- Experience in the Securitisation market is preferable.
- Experience in drafting documentation related to treasury policies and processes, and drafting reports/presentations for senior management.
