Job Purpose:

Are you a skilled manager with a knack for efficient collections and a passion for education? We are seeking a dedicated Fees Department Collections Manager to lead our dynamic team of four fee collectors. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the smooth operation of our fees collection process, collaborating closely with colleagues in the Trust's Fees Department and GDST school staff, including Heads and DFOs. Your clear, prompt, and professional communication with GDST parents and billpayers, both current and former, will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

-Team Leadership: Manage, recruit, train, and develop the fee collection team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.

Operational Management: Direct daily collection activities, review aged debt reports termly, and handle non-standard accounts or those outside approval limits.

Process Improvement: Regularly review and enhance communication timelines and collection processes.

Negotiation & Records: Support the team in negotiating with late payers through various communication channels and maintain accurate records in the billing software.

Interdepartmental Liaison: Work with the Education Department, Legal Department, and schools to address school fee-related complaints and disputes.

Debt Collection: Manage collection activities for all former school fee debt accounts and handle invoices for Fees in Lieu of Notice.

Legal Coordination: Consult with the Head of Fees and the Legal Team on legal actions and prepare related files.
