About the role


The Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care (NMPC) is committed to ensuring that all students are given the opportunity to integrate into all aspects of university life, to develop and to succeed.

It strives to achieve this goal, working on a variety of student-centric initiatives across all the departments in the Faculty.


The Student Experience Coordinator role will be responsible for: leading on project design and delivery for key strategic projects to enhance the student experience; coordination and delivery of key events such as induction and completion events; building strategic relationships with academic and professional services staff in the Faculty and at King's; and deputise for the Student Experience Manager.


You will be people-driven, highly organised, motivated, and capable of working independently with mínimal supervision, as well as being part of a team.

You will be experienced at building strong working relationships with diverse audiences (students, academics, professional colleagues of differing levels of seniority) and skilled at bringing them together to enhance the experience of all our students.


This is currently a hybrid role, and the role holder will spend part of their working week on campus and part of the week working remotely.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead on the management of key strategic projects related to the student experience within NMPC, including annual projects such as Welcome and Induction.
  • Implement project plans for business as usual work throughout the year, ensuring projects are delivered to time and with adequate resource.
  • Lead and support the organisation of student engagement and social activities which build community and foster a sense of belonging.
  • Promote and manage the nomination and election process for student academic representatives, offering training, supervision and support to communicate student feedback to the faculty.
  • Build and manage relationships with the Nightingale Student Council (NSC) reps while working in partnership with NSC reps on student experience projects
  • Support Faculty Student Staff Liaison Committees, ensuring meetings are arranged and feedback collated in a timely fashion, closing the feedback loop and demonstrating impact.
  • Play an active role in surfacing achievements of students and student groups, sharing this information with communications and marketing teams, and other key stakeholders, to celebrate success.
  • Support student survey campaigns, helping to reach targets and demonstrate impact of initiatives which improve the student experience.
  • Analyse relevant data, writing evaluations and reports where necessary.
  • Contribute to student newsletters and fora, highlighting opportunities which will enrich the student experience.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of activities, using data to inform continuous improvement
