Do you have a track record of developing, building buy-in to and implementing compelling Technology Category Strategies? We are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join our Team.

Reporting into the Category Director, you will maintain an effective procurement Category Strategy for Technology.

You will lead a category team in its implementation to deliver first class value for the business and protect it from risk.

You will manage senior internal customers in the business areas serviced by the category – understanding their business drivers and needs in the context of the function & company strategy.

You will ensure sourcing activity in the category is carried out in an efficient and timely way that is compliant with Royal Mail policy, governance, process, and guidelines.

You will motivate support and develop individuals in the category team, ensuring all people management processes are adhered to and guide the team to ensure the timely development of effective procurement strategies that maximise financial and non-financial value delivery.

To truly excel in this role, you'll possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:

  • Expert in negotiation to maximise value delivery and mitigate risk across the category
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Technology procurement roles.
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) Qualified.
  • Experience of managing multiple Technology project strands at once and working at pace to challenging deadlines.
  • Skilled in program and change management and can demonstrate application with a technical background with procurement experience and category knowledge.
