Due to year on year growth they are recruiting an experienced Safety Lead.Roles:
- Leading a team of engineers to advance the whole safety for an autonomous vehicle.
- The successful applicant will be responsible for creating an architecture of the whole safety procedures compliant with all safety standards.
- Validation of prototypes (vehicles and components)
- Ensure all potential hazards are considered for each of Autonomous vehicle products
- Understanding of the multidisciplinary nature of the team and represent best practice in safety to tackle each of the teams challenges
- Documenting Safety cases for trials, overall product from component level to the whole vehicle.
- Responsible for meeting all vehicle safety certification e.g.
Essential Requirements:
- Solid Understanding of safety principles including risk management, and safety engineering tools
- Familiarity with UK code of Practice and relevant safety standards including PAS 1881, other standards from the PAS series and SAE J301
- Experience with automotive safety systems integration or component safety
- Excellent writing skills to maintain safety case development
- Strong Communication skills
- Proven Experience in documenting, reviewing and maintaining high quality safety documents and reports
Nice to have requirements:
- Experience working with Autonomous vehicles and deployment of Autonomous Driving
- Experience with risk management tools such as FMEAs
