An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to work as the Named Professional for Contextual Safeguarding.


We are looking for an experienced Registered Health Professional to advocate for young people's needs and rights, ensuring delivery of improved health outcomes for those at risk of harm.


You will be an integral member of the multi-agency safeguarding team working with police, health services, mental health services, housing and third sectors to ensure the health needs of young people and adults, aged 18-25, who are at risk of harm from exploitation (including sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, human trafficking, modern slavery and missing from home) are identified, supported and included in any multi-agency assessments.


You will be responsible for managing a small caseload of young people who may be 'Looked after Children', Care Leavers or open to Youth Justice.

A focus on the role will also include the development of quality practice.


In order to succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a passion for safeguarding and be prepared to provide training to staff.

You will be a valued member of the Safeguarding Team providing specialist advice, support and supervision on matters relating to Contextualised Safeguarding.

If you are experienced in working with complex safeguarding and 'Looked after Children' issues within an acute or community healthcare setting, and are passionate about championing for our Island's vulnerable, young people, we would love to hear from you
