**About the role and our team**

Are you passionate about providing high quality services to vulnerable adults? We’re looking for a Safeguarding Officer to join our Adult Safeguarding Team

You will provide a rapid response to Adult Safeguarding referrals, undertake risk assessments and risk analysis, and create and implement Adult Safeguarding Protection Plans and work within the 6 Safeguarding Principles. Incorporated into every aspect of your role will be the Making Safeguarding Personal principles (MSP) to ensure Service Users are at the forefront of decision making.

You’ll be joining our small, specialist team who undertake all duties in relation to Adult Safeguarding. We work alongside adults to ensure they are central to our work, upholding the ethos of Making Safeguarding Personal.

**About the Island and relocating**

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month. Please note an enhanced with barring police check is required for this post, which the Manx Care will cover the cost of for you. Please note if you have lived for more than 6 months outside of the UK in the last 5 years, you will be required to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the appropriate authorities in the relevant locations, please read the guidance about how to obtain this letter.

A full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required for this role.
