As a Barclays Relationship Development Director, you will effectively manage, develop, and grow a portfolio of approximately 15 clients, each with a turnover of between £6.5m and £50m or having debt requirement in excess of £1m. Business Development is a key focus of this role, and the goal is to secure 4 or more new to bank customers in each financial year or deliver client acquisition income contribution of at least 150k from at least 2 new client relationships.

What will you be doing?
Demonstrating that you are devoted to our customer's success; continually deliver performance that reflects Barclay's vision to become the 'go-to' bank
Taking an active interest in our customers' business, identifying their needs and providing support and solutions to enabling their business to grow
Being responsible for providing Lending solutions of up to £10m for customers in both your portfolio and shadow portfolio
Preventing, handling, and resolving complaints effectively
Having regular face to face meeting with each customer per year
Using your analytical skills to interpret internal information around your marketplace, your portfolio, and individual customers to make decisions around your strategy
Demonstrating that you are devoted to our customer's success; continually delivering performance that reflects Barclay's vision to become the 'go-to' bank
What we're looking for:
Experience of relationship portfolio management and knowledge of the Credit Skills required to manage the end-to-end lending process for applications up £10,000,000
A very good knowledge level of income drivers
Sound knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures across the Group relevant to Mid Corporate market
An up-to-date knowledge and understanding of Barclays competition
Skills that will help you in the role:
Technical knowledge of lending/Zeus/GPT and post sanction fulfilment
Industry knowledge and understanding of key drivers for business owners
Client portfolio management experience
Successful track record of business development and acquiring new customers

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
