A Day in the Life of a Registry Retention Specialist:

  • Whether we're working in the office or at home, a morning in the Registry Retention team always starts with a catch up. We're a closeknit team and chat about what we've got on during the week.

The morning consists of going through our inbox which is where students can contact our team with any issues that may be impacting their ability to continue the course.

We also liaise with internal departments and offer support through providing a detailed background of that student's academic journey.-We arrange telephone meetings to talk through their academic journey, circumstances and provide tailored advice.

We have meetings with other teams to discuss challenging cases with potential risk factors such as low attendance.

We advise students who wish to stop their studies of the procedure informing them of financial, academic and compliance implications of their decisions, ensuring they are fully aware of the impact of their decision.

We work with a large amount of student data, so are detail-focused and thorough when going through cases.

This student-data is used to report to senior management to provide insight into retention, and to develop strategies to improve our student's experience.

We are a collaborative team - the nature of our work means that we brainstorm solutions that are the right fit for the student, and everyone's perspective is valued.

With 5 university partners, it can be a challenge to balance the different factors in a student's academic journey, but creative problem-solving and a determination to help our students succeed drives our work

  • Student administration
  • Supporting student retention related initiatives
  • Working with external Partners, developing and maintaining positive working relationships
