What is Leela Life?

Leela Life is a global startup in the wellbeing space. As the wellbeing market shifts towards holistic health, Leela Life provides an innovative platform that helps wellbeing enthusiasts discover and personalize wellbeing solutions for daily use.

What are we solving: The missing joy

An epidemic has been silently raging across the world over the last few years & is set to become a significant cause of human misery in the next few decades. Starting with developed, western countries such as the United States, it has been gradually moving into other nations across the world, causing much human misery. This condition affects successful people; individuals who have reached (or are well on their way to reaching) significant success in education, professional position, consumption indulgence and financial security.

The condition is marked by a wide range of symptoms such as:

  • Lack of enthusiasm for trying anything new & outside the familiar
  • Feeling of carrying out life in an "automatic" or "role-playing" mode
  • Occasional bouts of self-questioning with the question : is this life?
  • Inexplicable physical ailments which do not seem to have any clear medical reasons
  • Lack of interest in social gatherings & community activities

As people achieve traditional success, they are increasingly falling prey to the "listlessness of success". A debilitating condition that compels many successful people to live a life bereft of joy

How are we different: Ancient Indic knowledge

According to ancient Indian knowledge, to be in a state of Joy (Ananda - bliss, or Leela - playful joy) is every human being's natural destiny and that we suffer a lack of joy simply because of leading a life of ignorance.

This ignorance that leads to a lack of joy in life manifests in two primary ways

  • Leading a life which is not fully aligned to one's innate qualities
  • Not focusing adequately on developing critical personal capacities

A life of joy requires us to focus a lot more on our qualities & our capacities by modifying and enhancing our life routines holistically and a lot less on the day-to-day solving of problems or the chasing of opportunities.

What is this fellowship about: Ancient Indic wellbeing knowledge

Our research on relevance of Indic wellbeing knowledge for Joyful living has been distilled into this fellowship program, designed specifically for students with interest in holistic wellbeing.

What You Will Learn:

  • What is holistic wellbeing from an Indic perspective
  • Indic wellbeing knowledge system and its concepts
  • Personalisation framework to access, understand and apply this wellbeing knowledge for one's life context

The program includes live online classes, case studies, and access to a rich repository of resources.

Whom you will learn from:

Hari Nair

Hari Nair, founder of Leela Life, is an Indic wellbeing thinker and compelling communicator. With over a decade of research on Indic civilisation and modern wellbeing, he has also been a successful entrepreneur and management consultant. Hari previously hosted the video series "Conversations With Hari," engaging with celebrities on travel and life journeys.

Nishant Pradhan

Nishant Pradhan, co-founder, is an accomplished product and technology leader with deep expertise in marketplaces and user experience. With over 10 years of experience in product management and leadership in e-commerce, mobility, payments, and media, Nishant is also passionate about the Bhagavad Gita and Yoga.

Who Can Apply:

Anyone interested in holistic wellbeing knowledge, especially ancient Indic practices, products, experiences, insights etc. for professional growth or personal wellbeing.
