An opportunity has arisen to recruit a talented, enthusiastic, determined and resourceful Drug & Alcohol Support Worker to work within this challenging service.

It is essential that applicants must have Drug and Alcohol recovery experience.

  • Effectively engaging and supporting service users with substance misuse issues and offending behaviour, using creative approaches
  • Understanding of substance misuse and how this can impact on a service users recovery capital
  • Supporting the delivery of triages, inductions and psychosocial group interventions
  • Working within the unique challenges of a secure and diverse environment
  • Working professionally, flexibly and creatively, promoting a culture of positive change
  • Understanding issues of social exclusion, diversity, offending and substance use
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, prison and community services
  • Adhering to policies relating to safeguarding and governance


You will be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team who provide a vast range of services, delivering primary care, mental health and substance misuse services to the population, which may include working flexibly to cover evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
