Job Role Overview:

Solely HR is thrilled to be partnering with a diverse organization based in Cornwall in search of a skilled HR Business Partner for a full-time role. The ideal candidate must have expertise in TUPE and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. This temporary position (10 months) will mainly be remote with occasional site visits.

As part of the HR team, reporting to the Head of HR, you will be tasked with providing operational HR support to different business units and leading consultations with a focus on TUPE transfers, redeployments, and potential redundancies. Your role will involve delivering valuable services to both management and employees in alignment with the organization's goals, while also effectively managing HR data for various processes. While this role does not involve direct supervision, it does entail coaching and mentoring other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead company restructure and oversee full consultation processes, including TUPE transfers and redundancies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and line managers to offer HR guidance following company policies and UK labor laws.
  • Assist the HR team in creating tailored solutions, programs, and policies for employees.
  • Handle complex employee relations matters and conduct thorough investigations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Provide guidance on performance management, coaching, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Enhance work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention through employee engagement.
  • Interpret HR policies and develop terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Offer input on restructures, workforce planning, and training needs.
  • Identify training requirements and provide coaching for executives.
  • Monitor training programs for effectiveness and follow up on objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Data-driven mindset with strong organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Understanding of UK laws, guidelines, and regulations related to HR.
  • Knowledge of organizational hierarchy, job roles, and compensation practices.
  • Proven time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Significant TUPE and HR operations experience.
  • Experience in HR projects like restructuring and redundancy.
  • Minimum 5 years in an HR Business Partner role.
  • MCIPD Level 5 certification or higher.
