Activity Co-ordinator Position at Fairfield Hospital

An exciting position is now available for an Activity Co-ordinator to join our team at the 20-bed mixed sex Ward 8 located in Fairfield. This ward specializes in General Medicine, Frailty, and Dementia.

We are in need of an individual with strong social and creative skills to collaborate with the ward and therapy team in engaging patients and supporting them throughout their recovery process.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team and ward volunteers to organize social, leisure, and recreational activities for patients.
  • Arrange personalized activities for patients when suitable.
  • Engage in 1:1 social interactions with patients based on their individual capabilities.
  • Ensure a variety of activities are available for patients, such as board games, electronic games, music therapy, creative crafts, and reading materials.
  • Host social events within the ward involving patients, family members, staff, and visitors.
  • Coordinate group activities to encourage social interaction among patients.
  • Work with external agencies to provide social activity support and advice.
