Rate: £50 umbrella per hour
Venn Group's specialized public sector legal team collaborates with a Local Authority in Greater London to hire an Adult Social Care Lawyer on a part-time basis to assist with increased workload.
The role of Adult Social Care Lawyer is available for a 3-month period with the potential for extension thereafter. This presents a great opportunity for an Adult Social Care Lawyer to establish themselves within a developing legal team and play a crucial role within the Council.
The ideal candidate should be a Qualified Barrister, Solicitor, or Chartered Legal Executive with a successful track record in handling Adult Social Care legal matters within Local Government.
Duties will involve:
- Provide comprehensive legal services, covering contentious and non-contentious matters
- Offer expert advice on legal issues, preempting possible judicial review threats
- Manage applications in the Court of Protection and County Court displacement proceedings, ensuring legal accuracy and compliance
- Draft various legal documents, including pleadings and statements, addressing different social care function issues
- Advise officers on service development, ensuring lawful implementation of service delivery changes, focusing on compliance with the public sector equality duty
