Role of First Line Manager
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- To directly assist Management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
- To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, always maintaining standards of excellence
- Ensuring compliance to Standard Operating Procedures in Ecommerce
- Contribute to the continuous site improvement agenda
Key skills and experience in this role will include:
- Previous and practical experience as a supervisor or Team Leader within a warehouse environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
- Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
- Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
- A good track record with Health & Safety
- HR experience
- Proven track record in successfully developing colleagues
- Flexible and committed to the contract
- RP WMS experience is a benefit
- Must be able to promote high standards and deliver accuracy within the role
- Will report directly to the Shift Managers.
Working Hours and Shift Patterns of First Line Manager
- Any 5 days out of 7 so weekend work will be involved, Rotational Days and Afternoons, working a total of 40 hours every week
Pay Rates of First Line Manager
- Between £12.26 and £13.40 per hour (£25,500.00 to £27, depending on experience
- Paid Weekly
