About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at First Bus, Doncaster depot. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle electrical systems, including engine management, automatic/semi-automatic gearboxes, electronic braking, suspension, electronic destinations, and multiplex wiring systems.
  • Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend repairs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (e.g. City & Guilds level 1 & 2) and on-the-job working experience.
  • Proven experience in electrical systems repair and maintenance.
  • Valid UK driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
